Our online registration for the 2022-2023 Religious Education Program is scheduled to open on Monday, May 16, 2022. That morning, you will receive an email directly from Parish Giving with your username and a link to the registration website. Their contact information will be on that message to assist you with any technical issues you may have. Please check your spam email box if you feel you have not received the email in a timely manner. If you don’t remember your password from last year, you will be able to reset your password through the Parish Giving website when you click the link to register.
Note the following information and changes to the program for the upcoming year:
● Opening week of the program will be September 11, 14 & 15, 2022. The last week of the
program will be April 30, May 3 & 4, 2023.
● Classes will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
● Please register early as spaces are limited in each session, and no additional sessions
will be added once registration is open.
● Once a session becomes full and is closed online, please register your second choice
session. If you would like to be placed on a wait list, contact the Religious Education
office with your request. Based on past years, it is rare that spaces open in the sessions
that are waitlisted.

* Any session that has two or less registrants will be subject to cancellation and reassigned to another session.
Family-Based Program **
Offered for Grades 3, 4, 5, 6:
Family-Based religious education takes place under the authority of the pastor through the direction of the parish religious education coordinator. The faith is taught in the home by the parent/guardian, who is commissioned by the pastor to be the catechist for his/her own children. Holy Rosary Family-Based students will also be assigned to a program catechist as additional support.
Students registered for the Family-Based Model are required to attend the five in-person instructional sessions with their catechist, and parents/guardians twice during the program year as outlined below.
● Parent-Guardian Meetings:
Parents/Guardians meet twice during the program year with the coordinator of the Religious Education Program to review syllabus, resources,and expectations. Dates are as follows, from

● In-Person Student Instructional Sessions for Family Online-Based Students:
The child meets with a parish catechist at the school building five times during the program year to review and strengthen what has been taught at home. In addition, these sessions will give students the opportunity to deepen their learning and answer any questions they may have. Dates are as follows, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

● Curriculum: The Religious Education office will provide each family a “Grade Specific Overview” as outlined by the Archdiocese of New York, a syllabus to follow that mirrors our in-person sessions, Finding God workbook (2021 edition from Loyola Press), assignment documents, supplemental materials and activities.
** Family-Based Program will not be available for grades 1, 2, 7 and 8 due to in-person preparation needed during these sacramental years.
