Family-Based religious education takes place under the authority of the pastor through the direction of the parish religious education coordinator. The faith is taught in the home by the parent/guardian, who is commissioned by the pastor to be the catechist for his/her own children. Holy Rosary Family-Based students will also be assigned to a program catechist as additional support.
Students registered for the Family-Based Model are required to attend FOUR in-person instructional sessions with their catechists in addition to completing work at home in their workbooks and online. In order for students to receive credit and be promoted to the next grade level, all requirements must be met, no exceptions.
An informational meeting for parents/guardians (students not required to attend) is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11th at 6:30 pm. Student's workbook and syllabus will be distributed to parents during the meeting.
In-Person Student Instructional Sessions for Family Online-Based Students: The child meets with a parish catechist at the school building four times during the program year to review and strengthen what has been taught at home. In addition, these sessions will give students the opportunity to deepen their learning and answer any questions they may have. Please mark your calendars with the following dates:

Thursday, December 12th: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
