"Project Linus" is an organization across the United States with a mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children to children 0-18 years who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. This is done through the gifts of new, handmade blankets, quilts and afghans which are distributed locally to children in hospitals, shelters, social services agencies or anywhere a child might be in need of a big hug. We, the Religious Education Program, have teamed with the local chapter and will be making blankets during the evenings of Wednesday January 17th and Thursday January 18th from 6:30 to 8pm. A speaker will kick off the evening explaining the purpose of this important cause, after which we will be hands-on helping to create blankets to give to children in need and less fortunate - the exact definition of what Confirmation service hours are!
